Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Cardiac MRI

A post-doctoral research associate position is available at King’s College London within the Department of Biomedical Engineering in the School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences, located at the St Thomas Hospital. King’s College London, with its 200 years of heritage, is recognised today as a world-leading research university.

Our center is equipped with several MRI scanners including two Siemens 1.5T XMR systems and two Siemens 3T scanners. The applicant will join an interdisciplinary environment with a strong experience and expertise in cardiac MRI. The project will involve the development of novel quantitative cardiac MRI techniques for improved myocardial tissue characterisation, publishing in high impact journals and presenting findings at international conferences.

The candidate should have a strong experience and track record in at least MRI sequence development or MR-reconstruction. The successful candidate should have a PhD in biomedical engineering, medical physics, computer science or related fields. The applicant should ideally have good programming skills in Matlab/C++. The post-holder will work under the supervision of Dr. Sébastien Roujol and in close collaborations with Dr. Amedeo Chiribiri and Prof. Reza Razavi.
