Postdoc (100% – 4 years) on Dynamic and Quantitative Muscle MR Imaging
The Basel Muscle MRI (BAMM) Group at the University of Basel (Department of Biomedical Engineering) is looking for a Postdoc on a project titled “Advancing Neuromuscular Disease Evaluation: Developing Novel Multiparametric MRI Methods for Myotonic Dystrophy Assessment and Management.”
This project aims to develop more advanced methods for image acquisition and explore other possible biomarkers of neuromuscular disease. Your work will relate to the development of vendor-independent MR pulse
sequences using the PyPulseq framework for dynamic and quantitative imaging of the muscle.
The BAMM group has a strong focus on open and reproducible science, and you will work in an environment that encourages collaboration and sharing of ideas.

Candidates should hold a PhD in MR Physics or related fields and need to have experience of MR sequence development. Reasonable Python programming skills are required. We are looking for people with a focus on open source development and on rigorous, reproducible science.
The position is fully funded for 4 years with salary according to SNSF regulations starting from 83000 CHF per year (86000 EUR/y approximately).
